Fantasy beings, including the beings from other cultures (at least those that are Humanoids) I tend to group up in the category of "The 5 races" But I also tend to divide them across gender lines creating single gender species before grouping them back together into a single group of the 5 races. So all in all my fantasy world has 10 races (Now counting the so called Fantasy Axis of evil, which has some overlap anyways)
The Stout folk epitomises strenght, hardyness but also technological advancement.
It's rare that Stout folk have women, But I tend to imagine them as 4 feet tall amazons right out of a comic book.
